Rules

The following is a list of guidelines that players on The SURF 'N' PLAY gaming service should adhere to. Some rules are specific to certain games but as a rule of thumb if you think that what you are about to do is DODGY, do not do it.

Anyone using the facilities of Surf N Play for any illegal activities will be immediately and permanently banned and expelled with the loss of any remaining pre purchased time.

Do not excessively use profanity or sexually explicit language, discretion based on time of day and persons present should be exercised.

Do not engage in personal attacks of an abusive nature.

Do not abuse someone because of their race, colour, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs or any other factor of their person.

Do not use a nickname that breaks any of the above.

Do not flood or spam chat of any description. This includes excessive use of capitals.

Do not cheat on the servers, this includes known bugs within the game, external drivers and/or scripts/models that are deemed unacceptable.

Do not team kill or team wound on purpose for any reason, this includes retaliation. Always apologise at the first opportunity for the accidental TW/TK's.

Some game specific rules are important. Check which ones apply to the game that you are intending to play.

• Do not block doorways
• Do not Spam re-spawn point
• Offensive or pornographic decal/logo sprays are not permitted

Breaking the above rules will result in sanctions proportionate with the broken rule.

e.g. Use of inappropriate language, nicknames etc will result in a warning and being asked to change or to  refrain from use of that language, repeated breaking of the rule will result in being asked to leave. A person who has previously been removed for such actions and repeats it will be banned with the loss of membership.

Repeated TK/TW will initially result in a warning from staff and persistent offending in being asked to leave and return with a more mature attitude the next time.

Use of cheats is wholly unacceptable, use of OGC or similar in the LAN only environment will result in immediate expulsion and a ban of not less than a week. Use of cheats in an online environment which results in the banning of a WON id or similar from any GSP will result in immediate and permanent expulsion. Cheating in a competition/league whether internal or external will result in the immediate and permanent expulsion of the offending player and the disqualification of the team. Further sanctions as appropriate may be taken against the team as a whole if it is discovered they had knowledge of their team-mate cheating or colluded in his/her actions.

Surf ‘N’ Play reserve the right to monitor all internet activity and all computer use for illegal or inappropriate activity.

At all times the managements' word is final. Additionally a warning from a fellow player is as good as a warning from a staff member.

These rules may be amended at any time without notice.
