What is Surf 'N' Play Computer Gaming?

Surf 'N' Play is a Internet gaming centre where you can play network games against other people in the centre, or over the internet, or both at the same time. You could also use the computers to surf the web or check your E-Mail as well as using the office facilities (word processor, spreadsheet, etc) to do your homework etc.

How much does it cost?

How fast is the internet connection?

The internet connection is an ADSL 8 Megabit per second link. Although shared between the computers in the centre, this is 140 times faster than a standard 56K modem. The network speed between the computers in the centre is 100 Megabits per second!

Can I use the Internet?

Yes! All our computers are enabled for Web browsing, E-Mail and office applications, word processing, spreadsheets, etc.

How powerful are the computers?

Very! The game computers have 2400 MHz processors, 1024MB RAM, and a Geforce FX 7600 256MB AGP 8X video card driving a 17" CRT monitor.

What games can I play?

You must conform to the age requirements of the game. See Age Restrictions Please use the menu at the top of the page for information on our current games.

Can I bring my own games?

Yes, subject to conditions. 

• Games will have to be uninstalled after you have finished.
• You must be a member.
• You must conform to the age requirements of the game. See Age Restrictions

Yes, provided that we don't sell it. Strictly NO ALCOHOL.

Do you sell alcohol?

No! We do not have (or intend to get) the necessary licenses. Note. The consumption of alcohol on the premises is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN.

Why don't I get the cash from Sponsored competitions?

It is the policy of Surf 'N' Play that, unless specifically stated otherwise, any money received by Surf 'N' Play as a result of a member (or team of members) winning a sponsored competition is used to provide free access time for that member (or team).
